The City of Fort Valley is seeking a qualified professional for the position of Public Works Director.

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Public Works Department, including streets, parks, cemeteries, and building maintenance, solid waste collection, grass, right-of-way maintenance, and the upkeep of the City’s entire fleet of vehicles. In consultation with the City Administrator, the Public Works Director will develop long-term and short-term plans for the department, supervise personnel and budget, and manage public works construction projects for the City.
