The Central Georgia Joint Development Authority (CGJDA) has reopened its Local Assistance Program to support eligible community and economic development projects that have a regional impact. This initiative, previously suspended due to limited funding, was re-established in December 2024 and is now accepting applications.

Program Overview

The CGJDA may invest up to $20,000 per project. Funding may serve as:

  • Matching funds or leverage for other grant opportunities
  • 100% project funding, if applicable, and resources allow

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify:

  1. The applicant must serve a member county (Baldwin, Crawford, Houston, Jones, Macon-Bibb, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Twiggs, or Wilkinson)
  2. Be a public or nonprofit organization
  3. Have a mission aligned with community and economic development

How to Apply

Application Deadline

Applications are received on an ongoing basis. Applications that meet the eligibility criteria will be presented at the next Quarterly Authority Meeting subject to the availability of funds.
