The Middle Georgia Regional Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Hall as the new director of the Area Agency on Aging (AAA), a comprehensive service delivery system that provides a range of options that allow older individuals and people with disabilities to choose home and community-based services and living arrangements that are best for them.

Julie  began in 1997 with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission as an AAA Intake and Screening Specialist and assisted the organization with Medicare Counseling, Elder Abuse Prevention Education and Reporting, and Caregiver Support . Over the last six years, Julie served as the Aging Services Manager while growing the Gateway Program into a functioning Aging and Disabilities Resource Connection.

“Today’s older adult demographics are growing as more citizens reach the age of 60 whose trends and desires include more information and training on use of technology and other communication services,” Julie said. “While no one can predict what aging services will look like tomorrow, the expectation is that it will be different.”

As Area Agency on Aging Director, Julie will continue to develop and meet the opportunities and challenges of the aging and disabled in the future.
