A Launch Party for interested property owners will be held on Tuesday, October at 6pm at the Macon Terminal Station, 200 Cherry Street, Macon, GA 31201. Solarize Middle Georgia is a community-based solar energy and battery storage group-purchasing program that helps homeowners, businesses and nonprofits become more resilient, reduce energy expenses, and save on the cost of solar by leveraging the power of group purchasing. The more people who participate, the greater the savings! Solarize Middle Georgia will be the first Solarize campaign in Georgia to outreach to an entire region, including the full 11-county region of the Middle Georgia Regional Commission. Prior campaigns have outreached to one city and/or one city and county. Solarize Middle Georgia will run for six months, through April 30, 2019.

Participants in the Solarize Middle Georgia campaign will all receive a free solar evaluation, including preliminary site design, energy usage profile, and financial analysis. Interested residents and business owners can see a 25-year outlook of the benefits of solar for their property. Solarize Middle Georgia also includes the selection of qualified solar contractors and best-in-class materials to save time and money for participants.
