The Middle Georgia Regional Commission is seeking to fill the position of Career Development Specialist.  A Career Development Specialist is responsible for providing case management services to Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act (WIOA) program applicants/participants. The Career Development Specialist is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, counseling, testing applicants, and making training recommendations. The Career Development Specialist reports directly to the Workforce Development Director.

Qualified applicants should, at a minimum, have a Bachelor’s Degree in social science, counseling, psychology, or related field from an accredited college; with 1-2 years of experience in a human service agency as a counselor or employment counselor; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
