The Middle Georgia Regional Commission is seeking to fill the position of Employer Engagement Specialist.  The Employer Engagement Specialist (EES) is responsible for the development, delivery, and marketing of programs and services designed to meet the workforce needs of businesses.  The EES will assist with developing and maintaining relationships with local businesses, industry representatives, and community and training agencies, that lead to career placements and/or workforce retention. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, participating in local and state workforce development planning activities that encourage greater involvement of employers and support sector-based programs and apprenticeship models.

Qualified applicants should, at a minimum, have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field; two years of experience related to the duties and responsibilities specified, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A Master’s in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred; previous experience in sales, training development, business development, education, and/or human resources; and bilingual or multi-lingual capability is preferred.
