The Middle Georgia Regional Commission is seeking to fill the position of Management Information Systems (MIS) Analyst. The MIS Analyst position is responsible for coordinating the operations and activities of the management information systems for Workforce Development. These duties typically include creating and maintaining various logs, files, and databases, assembling and preparing materials for processing and distribution, completing and processing WIOA forms for enrollment, placement, and retention, preparing necessary reports for local, state and federal entities, attending required training, performing data entry into the state system, training employees, and resolving problems as they pertain to the Workforce Development MIS system. The MIS Analyst works under the direct supervision of the Director of Workforce Development. This position requires a talented individual who can engage collaboratively with local governments in a professional, resourceful, trustworthy, accountable, efficient, and innovative manner.
Qualified applicants should, at minimum, have an associate degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college; with 1-2 years of experience in computer operations or related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology is preferred. Previous experience with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act is a plus.
