Middle Georgia Regional Commission is seeking to fill the position of Business Development Manager. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the promotion of economic development within the middle Georgia region, through the revolving loan programs offered by the Middle Georgia Regional Commission. The incumbent is responsible for the operation and management of the revolving loan fund programs with the ultimate goal of job creation and retention in order to grow the region’s economy. This position requires a talented individual who can engage collaboratively with local governments in a professional, resourceful, trustworthy, accountable, efficient, and innovative manner.
Qualified applicants should, at a minimum, possess a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field from an accredited college or university combined with relevant work experience in commercial lending, credit analysis and underwriting or another related field. A master’s degree in business is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented individual who can engage effectively with coworkers and community members in the process of providing quality customer service. Candidates should possess a strong vision and desire for facilitating positive change that moves the region forward. A candidate must be able to address challenges with enthusiasm and positive energy that demonstrates a love for the work of growing and improving communities.
